** Phi Alpha Theta Conference! Who's Going? **

Hello Everyone,

We hope that you're all enjoying your weekend. 

This is just another email asking who is interested in attending the Phi Alpha Theta Conference in Stockton March 18-19th. We have a few members who have given interest in attending, but have yet to formally tell us whether or not they can attend. It is extremely important that we have an accurate number of attendees as we are in the process of making travel and lodging arrangements, and the conference is now less than a month away.  As such, we are imposing a Tuesday, March 1 @ 10 AM deadline.  If you have not responded to this email by that date and time, you forfeit your position to attend the conference.

Also, if you have sent in a paper or abstract to present at the conference, please tell us.  It is not mandatory to present research at the PAT conference, but we need to know how many people have formally made the commitment.  Once we know how many people are attending, we will have a meeting with just those members to discuss what to expect for the conference and any travel arrangements we have made.

Once again, the deadline to commit is **Tuesday, March 1, 2011 @ 10 AM **

Tourism Studies Conference: February 18-20th

Public Service Fellowship Seeking Applicants

As the Founder of City Hall Fellows, I invite you and other members of Alpha Lambda Alpha to explore whether our exciting post-grad public service Fellowship is right for you.  The Fellowship is open to students of ALL majors.

FYI: Upcoming Deadline!

The deadline for submitting paper abstracts for presentation at the Northern California Phi Alpha Theta Conference is this Friday February 18, 2011.  Your papers can be no more than 10 pages, and can be works in progress (great for those of you in the Thesis Class this semester!) or papers from a previous class.  You may email your submissions to: phialphatheta@pacific.edu

Also, the deadline for confirming your spot at the PAT conference is also this Friday.  You do not have to submit a paper in order to attend the conference, but it is a great experience and even better resume-booster!  Please email us at mills.college.pat@gmail.com or amorris@mills.edu to let us know.

The next Phi Alpha Theta Meeting will be held this Wednesday, February 9, at 6:00 PM in the Tea Shop.

At this meeting, we will be discussing the initiation ceremony for the new Phi Alpha Theta members.  We also have lots of information to give to all of you concerning some very exciting events for this semester as well as the Northern California PAT conference which will be held March 18-19th in Stockton, CA.

If for some reason this time conflicts with your schedule (i.e. classes, work), please let us know.  Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you all soon!
